Primarily Kids – Up Close Scheduling
Check In
The parent or legal guardian of the patient MUST accompany the patient to the initial appointment to complete the patient information paperwork and consent for treatment.
Please arrive for your child’s appointment at least 15 minutes early so that all paper work can be completed before your child is seen. And, although we generally have collected much of the information we require to register your child prior to his or her visit, we ask that you bring your state-issued photo identification and your child’s insurance card. Without the insurance card, we may be unable to file your insurance, and you may be responsible for the costs of the visit.
Late Arrivals
We try our best to keep to the schedule. But when a patient arrives late, it is impossible to stay on schedule. So, if you arrive more than 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, you may be rescheduled so that other patients are not inconvenienced.
Cancellation or No-Show for Appointments
We acknowledge that everyone values his or her time, thus we attempt to accommodate everyone. Therefore, we request at least 24 hours notice if canceling or rescheduling any weekday appointment because another patient could be scheduled if there is sufficient time to notify them. We realize that unexpected things can happen, but we ask for your assistance in this matter.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule a Saturday appointment without ample notice, you may lose your Saturday appointment privileges.
Appointment Scheduling for the Wee Ones
At Primarily Kids Pediatric Dentistry, we prefer to see our preschool-aged patients in the morning between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm because we’ve found that children who are not hungry and are well rested tend to be more cooperative and have a better visit. If a morning appointment is not conducive to your schedule, we offer Saturday hours for new patient and recall examinations.
Emergencies or After-Hour Care
Dr. Mc is always available and accessible to you. When the office is closed, your call to our office forwards directly to Dr. Mc's cell phone. If for some reason you are forced to leave a message, please do so and your call will be returned promptly.

Facts to Know About Dental Insurance
Dental insurance is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. We are not a party to that contract.
Insurance companies will not release the exact amount they will pay for a procedure until the treatment is completed and the claim is submitted. They will only state the percentage of their fee schedule that they will cover over the telephone.
Dental insurance is NOT meant to cover all fees. It is an aid to your investment in your child’s dental healthcare. Many routine dental services are only partially covered by dental insurance. Most plans only pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee.
Our office participates with the following insurance providers: Aetna, Ameritas, Assurant, BCBS, Cigna, Delta Dental, Guardian, Humana, Medicaid, Metlife, Texas CHIP, United Healthcare, and United Concordia. We will assist you in determining what portion of treatment is covered by insurance. Our goal is to ensure you receive the maximum allowable benefits given by your insurance plan.
We will bill your insurance company as a courtesy to you. If your insurer has not paid the FULL BALANCE within 45 days, you are responsible to pay the balance. Finance charges are added to unpaid accounts within 60 days of the date of service.
All insured patients are required to pay their co-payments on the date services are rendered.
If you have any questions regarding your insurance, we ask that you contact your company regarding the specifics and details of your plan.
